We will board a ship that crosses the River Plate (1 hour in express boat / 3 hours in slow boat) to reach the port of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. This old XVII century Portuguese City was declared Historical Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO due to its very well conserved architectonic riches invite to take a walk and to submerge in the past. Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, this old colonial town is renowned for its cobbled, windy streets and colourful houses reminiscent of old Lisbon.

Luego de recorrer un total de 18 km por la pintoresca Ruta Nacional Nº 12, arribaremos al Parque Nacional Iguazú del lado argentino, creado para proteger el marco paisajístico de las Cataratas del Iguazú, un conjunto de 275 saltos o caídas de agua, rodeados de espesa selva subtropical con una muy importante biodiversidad. Nos dirigiremos al centro de visitantes y de ahí a la Estación Central donde abordaremos el Tren Ecológico -propulsado a gas, y de mínimo impacto ambiental- para dirigirnos a la Estación Garganta. Recorreremos 1200 metros de pasarelas entre islotes y exhuberante vegetación hasta el Balcón de la "Garganta del Diablo" para disfrutar de este imponente salto de de 150 metros de longitud y 80 metros de altura, cuya potente caída de agua rodeada de densa bruma lo convierten sin dudas en una de las maravillas naturales del mundo. Iniciaremos luego un recorrido pedestre por los Circuitos Superior e Inferior, visitando otros saltos importantes como Dos Hermanas, Chico, Bosetti, y el imponente salto San Martín. Retornaremos a la Estación Central para emprender el regreso al hotel.

By the colorful National Route Nº 12, we will arrive to the Iguazú National Park from the argentine side, located on the northeastern region of Argentina, about 1.600 km from Buenos Aires. Sacred land of enchantment and leyend for the guaraní nation, and. Declared World Heritage site by the UNESCO, the Iguazú Falls consists in 275 waterfalls (most of them are on the Argentinean side) some of them up to 80 meters high turning this into a fantastic landscape, making it one of the magical quietness of the jungle and water`s clatter. First we will take the "Ecological Train" to reach the "Garganta Station". Then, a walk of about 1.200 meters by footbridge to reach the viewpoint and admire the wonderful "Devil’s Throat", the biggest waterfall (150 meters long and 80 meters high). Then we will take a walk across the Lower Circuit and the Upper Circuit, visiting other falls like Dos Hermanas, Chico, Bosetti, San Martin.

Partiremos desde Bariloche bordeando el lago Nahuel Huapi y llegaremos a Playa Bonita, desde donde apreciaremos la isla Huemul. Llegaremos luego al pie del cerro Campanario. Tendremos la oportunidad de tomar la aerosilla (opcional) que nos trasladará hasta la cumbre, donde apreciaremos una de las más bellas y fascinantes vistas de la región. Desde allí podremos observar los lagos Nahuel Huapi y Perito Moreno, la laguna El Trébol, las penínsulas de San Pedro y Llao Llao, la Isla Victoria, los cerros Otto, López, Goye, Catedral y la ciudad de Bariloche. Al continuar el viaje llegaremos a la península Llao Llao donde observaremos el gran hotel Llao Llao y la capilla San Eduardo, joyas arquitectónicas de la región, y Puerto Pañuelo. The tour starts in Bariloche, riding down Ezequiel Bustillo Ave., a paved road along the Nahuel Huapi lakeshore. Passing by Playa Bonita (from where we will see Huemul Island), we will reach the base of Campanario Hill. A chair lift (not included) will take us to the top (1.050 m) from where we will enjoy impressive views of this region. We will have a panoramic view combining Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, El Trébol lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, Otto, López, Goye and Catedral hills and, of course, San Carlos de Bariloche city. Further ahead, we will reach Llao Llao peninsula, with its namesake hilltop hotel and San Eduardo Chapel, two architectural jewels of this region, and go by Pañuelo Port, the starting point of many lake excursions. Further on we will cross the bridge over the Angostura river that joins Lake Nahuel Huapi and Lake Moreno, and pass by López Bay at the base of López Hill. We will continue to the Panoramic Point, a belvedere with a magnificent view of Moreno Lake and Llao Llao peninsula. Crossing the bridge over Moreno Lake at a narrow end, follow the shoreline of El Trébol lagoon, we will meet again Bustillo Ave., to return to Bariloche.

Then we will reach the base of Cathedral Hill, a first-class ski and winter sports center. Its name, was inspirated in the similarity of its summit with the towers of gothic cathedrals. We will have the chance to ascend taking a chairlift (optional), and get impressive panoramic views of Nahuel Huapi, Moreno and Gutierrez lakes. Return to Bariloche along the same road.

We will begin in Bariloche, heading to Pañuelo Port, on the Llao Llao peninsula. After a 30 minutes navigation, we will arrive at Anchorena Port on Victoria island. From there you can wander about various trails. On board again, the ship will sail northwest towards Quetrihué Peninsula, where we will see the world famous Bosque de Arrayanes (myrtle wood), which harbors centenary trees, and has been declared intangible area and a natural monument. The excursion ends upon return to Bariloche.

Nos dirigiremos hacia el puerto de Punta Bandera, distante 47km. de El Calafate, donde abordaremos una confortable embarcación, para emprender una inolvidable navegación por el Lago Argentino. Luego de atravesar la Boca del Diablo, sección más angosta del lago y puerta de acceso natural al Brazo Norte, la ruta tomará dirección oeste y el paisaje se irá tornando en bosques y altas cumbres con glaciares colgantes. Navegaremos entre espectaculares témpanos gigantes de variadas formas, hasta aproximarnos al extenso frente del glaciar Upsala, el de mayor superficie de los hielos continentales. Luego, nos dirigiremos hacia otro canal, donde observaremos el glaciar Spegazzini, el más alto del Parque Nacional, cuyas paredes alcanzan los 130 metros de altura y desarrolla 25 km de largo. Finalmente, retomaremos el Brazo Norte para regresar a puerto, y luego por tierra a El Calafate. This excursion is aimed at watching from the land, from different angles, from nearer and nearer watching points, breathtaking views of the glacier front wall and Icebergs Channel. Periodically, the pressure produced by the water, causes great hunks of ice calve off the glacier and slowly melt on the big lake, bringing an unforgettable experience. Return to El Calafate.

In this tour we will visit a typical patagonian estancia, located inside Los Glaciares National Park, 56 km far from El Calafate. A welcome awaits with hot infusions and homemade cookies and bread, enjoying a wonderful view of the Andes. Then, we will start a good long walk during which we will have excellent views of Lake Argentino, discovering the diverse rocky outcrops eroded by glacial action. The footpaths lead through native woodland of lenga and ñire, a habitat for caranchos, Austral parakeets, hares, woodpeckers, eagles and an abundant variety of native flora and fauna. Later, we will take a walk by the historical main house, in order to recall histories of the first settlers. Then, we will visit the organic orchard where we will be able to find an important variety of vegetables and fruit trees used for the homemade product elaboration. We will meet in the shear shed to enjoy a demonstration of manual, unique sheep shear of the zone by its characteristics, where we will learn about wool classification. We will depart from El Calafate, towards Punta Bandera Port, distant 47km from El Calafate. Once onboard, we will start a sailing across Lake Argentino. After crossing Boca del Diablo, the narrowest section of the lake, natural gateway to the Northern Arm, the navigation route takes to the northwest. While the scenery becomes into forest and high mountains with hanging glaciers, we will sail amongst impressive giant icebergs, towards Upsala Glacier, the largest of the continental ice-field. Then, the ship will resume its course, to enter another canal, where reigns the Spegazzini Glacier, the highest of the national park, which front wall reach 130 meters high and 25km long. Finally, again the Northern Canal will lead us to the port, to return to El Calafate. Depending on weather conditions and the several huge icebergs calved off from Upsala Glacier, the itinerary may change.

Partiremos desde Puerto Madryn hacia la Península Valdés, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco. Visitaremos el Centro de Interpretación Carlos Ameghino, donde podremos ver parte de la historia, la fauna terrestre, marina y avifauna. Llegaremos a Caleta Valdés, o Punta Norte, apostadero continental de Elefantes Marinos. Durante todo el camino tendremos la posibilidad de encontrarnos con algunos de los exponentes de la fauna autoctona: ñandúes, guanacos, maras, piches, zorros, zorrinos, Águilas, Lechuzas Patagónicas, entre otros. Arribaremos a Puerto Pirámides, pintoresca aldea sobre el Golfo Nuevo, con aguas cristalinas que la convierten en paraíso de buceadores y naturalistas. Tendremos oportunidad de realizar una navegación (adicional) en modernas embarcaciones para realizar el avistaje de ballenas (de la especie Franca Austral), que se concentran una vez al año en este sitio para aparearse y tener sus crías. Dispondremos de tiempo libre para almorzar (no incluído). Continuaremos el recorrido observando una colonia de lobos marinos de un pelo. Regreso a Puerto Madryn.

A partir del mes de junio y hasta principios de diciembre, las Ballenas Francas del Sur llegan a las costas del Golfo Nuevo para reproducirse y criar a sus ballenatos. Desde Puerto Pirámides, a bordo de una pequeña embarcación, podrá vivir una experiencia inolvidable observándolas en su hábitat natural. Guías especializados lo ayudarán a comprender las características y las costumbres de estos gigantes del mar. Además, podrán observarse de cerca otras especies de fauna costera, que incluye lobos marinos, cormoranes y, ocasionalmente, delfines. La navegación dura aproximadamente una hora.

Partiremos de Puerto Madryn hacia el sur, atravesando parte de la meseta patagónica hasta llegar al paraje Dos Pozos, donde podremos observar una construcción de piedra que fue una de las primeras oficinas de telégrafo a principios del siglo 20. En esta zona, la cercanía del mar hace que la vegetación sea diferente a la observada en la parte de la meseta. Durante todo el camino, podremos descubrir algunos de los exponentes de la fauna autóctona de la región patagónica, como ñandúes, guanacos, maras, piches, zorros, zorrinos, águilas, lechuza patagónica, entre otros. Arribaremos a la reserva de Punta Tombo, comenzando la visita por el centro de interpretación, y luego caminaremos dentro del área natural protegida de la pingüinera continental más grande del mundo. Allí podremos observar una enorme colonia de Pingüinos de Magallanes (aprox. 1.000.000), donde encontraremos pingüinos adultos, sus nidos, y sus crías. Al regreso, haremos una breve visita a la ciudad de Trelew, donde podremos visitar de manera opcional el museo Paleontológico Egidio Feruglio. Retornaremos finalmente a Puerto Madryn.

The Valdes Peninsula, declared World Heritage site by the Unesco, are without doubt the whale watching highlight in the Southern Cone and few places on the planet can match this experience. The tour leaves from Puerto Madryn to Carlos Ameghino’s Interpretative Bureau, where it is possible to learn about the history, the fauna and sea birds of the region. Then, we will continue to Caleta Valdes or Punta Norte, a continental sea elephants reserve. During the journey we will see some of the natural inhabitants of Peninsula Valdes: ñandu (American ostrich), guanaco, mara (Patagonian hare), piche (armadillo), fox, shunk, eagle, Patagonian owl, among others. We will arrive to Puerto Pirámides, a small town on the New Gulf with crystalline waters, a paradise for divers and naturalists. From June through December the Southern Right Whales arrive in the Gulf Nuevo to mate, give birth and raise their calves. It is an unforgettable experience to watch them from the boat in their natural habitat. Visita A La Ciudad & Museo Del Fin Del Mundo (Half Day)

El circuito que realizaremos comprende un recorrido por diversos puntos de interés como la parte antigua de la ciudad, el puerto y las escarpadas calles que trepan la montaña, lo que permite tomar variadas y coloridas fotos. Culminaremos esta visita en el Museo del Fin del Mundo, que ocupa uno de los edificios más antiguos de la ciudad y donde se ve reflejada en parte su historia y sus leyendas acerca de pobladores nativos, aventureros y piratas. A 12 km al oeste de Ushuaia se halla la entrada al Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, con una superficie de 63.000 hectáreas. En él podremos encontrar exponentes de la variada flora del lugar, como lengas, guindas, calafates, notros, flores como la orquídea, violetas y senecios. Un paseo por este Parque Nacional, además de ofrecernos múltiples vistas panorámicas sobre el canal de Beagle enmarcadas por las montañas y el bosque, nos acercará a la naturaleza. Seguiremos el recorrido por el camino que va trazando una franja muy delgada en el faldeo de la montaña, pasaremos entre turbales, diques de castores y arribaremos al río Lapataia y la Laguna Verde. Se recomiendan las breves caminatas por el Sendero que conduce a la Laguna Negra y por el Sendero los Castores, para interpretar el trabajo de estos curiosos roedores introducidos desde Canadá en la década del '40. Comenzaremos entonces el tramo final hacia Bahía Lapataia, sitio donde los antiguos habitantes de la zona han dejado su testimonio. Antes de emprender el regreso a Ushuaia, realizaremos una parada frente al Lago Roca.

Tren del Fin del Mundo (Complemento en excursión PN Tierra del Fuego)

Este tour nos permitirá conocer acerca de la historia del pequeño tren utilizado por el antiguo presidio de Ushuaia para transportar madera desde los bosques. Partiremos de la ciudad de Ushuaia realizando un recorrido de 8 km hasta llegar a la estación ubicada en el Valle del Río Pipo. Allí, locomotoras de motor diesel con coches de amplios ventanales y calefaccionados que recrean la formación original nos esperarán para comenzar un paseo por el bosque fueguino. El tren nos permitirá conocer la zona que los presidiarios transitaron para realizar trabajos forzados y nos acercará al sector del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego por la zona de Cañadón del Toro. Realizaremos una parada en Cascada Macarena y continuaremos hasta la estación del Parque, donde dejaremos el tren y continuaremos el recorrido por el Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego.

The southernmost city in the world at the foot of Martial Mountain Range, shows different colours and views to the visitors. Ushuaia with its near 60.000 inhabitants is placed besides the bay from which it receives the name and it has an special view towards Navarino and Hoste Islands. The city tour includes the foundational area of the town, the port and the hilly streets climbing the mountain from where it is possible to take great photographs. The excursion finishes at the Museum of the End of the World placed in one of the oldest buildings of the city, where we will be able to learn about the island history, and its legends about native inhabitants, adventurers and pirates. Entrance ticket for End of the World Museum not included.

Tierra Del Fuego National Park (Half Day)

We will visit Tierra del Fuego National Park, located 12 km far from Ushuaia. With a surface of 63.000 hectares, it contains many species of trees and bushes, such as firebushes, beech trees, ñires, box-leafed barberries, and flowers such as orchids, violets and another species. Following a road around the mountains we will see the peat bogs and the beaver dams before arriving at Lapataia River. Once we cross the river, we will have a nice view of Laguna Verde. We suggest you to take a long walk along a path up to Laguna Negra or the Beavers Path, to know the work of these curious rodents, introduced from Canada in the 1940s. Then, we will visit Lapataia Bay and see the area where the native inhabitants of the Island left their testimony. Return to Ushuaia, passing by Lago Roca.

End of the World Train (Extension in Tierra del Fuego National Park tour)

We will know the End of the World Train, a small train with a 60cm gauge and 17 km long line, that recreates the one that served the Ushuaia prison in transporting wood from the forest. We will leave Ushuaia and after 8 km. will arrive at the train station placed at Pipo Valley. There, steam and diesel locomotives, with coaches fitted with large windows and heating, will be waiting for us to begin a trip through the woods, recreating the history of the prisoner’s journeys. The ride will allow us to know the area where the convicts made hard works. Entering the National Park, we will pass through Cañadón del Toro area. The train first stop will be at Macarena Fall station, heading then to the National Park station, with great landscapes of peats and woods. From that station, begins the National Park visit by ground transportation.
